Help! My Duck ate a slice of Avocado.

Talked to another vet. He said there should not be a problem because it's the fruit and it's peeled, and he didn't ate too much. Suggested a tab of active carbon too. Just gave him one tab. He looks fine and in good spirits. Ate some salad and tomato recently. He's drinking water. Hope and pray...

Help! My Duck ate a slice of Avocado.

I've contacted my local vets. They suggested 2 active carbon tablets to clean the toxins. Is this safe?

Help! My Duck ate a slice of Avocado.

My boy accidently ate a slice of Avocado. it was peeled. It happened like 15 minutes ago. I know it's toxic for Ducks. He's not showing any sings that anything is wrong so far. What should I do? I'm very worried. :(

Help! Strange skin pop-ups below duck's chest!

Thanks. We will see a veterinarian a few days later. Actually, it's very difficult with a Duck. Most vets are working with cats and dogs and are a bit out of sight when it comes to birds.

Help! Strange skin pop-ups below duck's chest!

Aptus is an extra support for hips and joints, mostly for cats and dogs. Sometimes it works for pigeons and parrots too. It did wonders for him last year. It works now too. He's standing on his feet again! And yes, I must say, He was very lucky to be rescued and I'm very happy to have him! He's...

Help! Strange skin pop-ups below duck's chest!

He's acting pretty normal. Having a great appetite, as usual. Always ready for a snack. He drinks water. Enjoy baths. His story is a bit unusual. I found him stranded in a forest as a tiny baby 3 and a half years ago, so I took him home. He grew up as a special need duck, since his right leg was...

It is the size and color of a corn seeds, it's soft and it is located below the chests. What is it? He's a 3 and a half years old boy.

    Foamy eyes + voice change

No, I haven't. At this point, I think it could be too stressful for him to do so. I think if the eye drops don't work at all, I could switch to another vet. That tear channel remove thing sounds terrific.

    Foamy eyes + voice change

The vet said that if the eye drops don't work, the next step could be to remove his tear channels with an operation. And it totally freaks me out... :/

    Foamy eyes + voice change

That's true. But as I said, we're in a 6th day, and so far no effect. The vet said to use the eye drops for a 7 days period. And while avoiding to dip his head, i'm afraid about his nose and sinuses. He's not cleaning it from feathers and stuff like that.

    Foamy eyes + voice change

The last time we were at the dam for a swim - he didn't. A few days later he took a bath at home, and he just relaxed at the bathtub. No head dip in the water.

    Foamy eyes + voice change

The vet has ordered to use the eye drops 4-5 times a day. What I find really strange is that for the last 2 weeks, he's doing he's best to avoid the water, deep enough to dip his head in it. He only drinks from it.

    Foamy eyes + voice change

Thanks again! We have an update. We did a microbiology test and as a result came out that he has a conjunctivitis. So the vet ordered a Hidrocortisone eye drops. 6th day, no effect so far... :/
