I have a pretty small garden compared to most of you, but next year I hope to expand! I also used the raised bed method and it does reduce weeds, but it doesn't eliminate them entirely, sadly.
I was wondering if anyone wanted an open discussion on gardening? Sharing tips, etc. ? I absolutely love gardening and spend most of my fee time in my garden, or with my chickens. I like to give the, some of the greens I grow :)
I agree with what was said, but it would be much easier to plant them directly in the ground. The plant will stop growing if it's roots have no room to grow. I hope this helped!:)
Okay, thanks! I made a bad batch of cookies (I'm not a very good cook, lol) and I wanted to know if I could feed them to my chicks instead of throwing them away! Haha. But thanks for the information! Very helpful :D
I was wondering if it's okay to feed chicks leftover baked goods such as cookies or cupcakes? I'm guessing that they can't have chocolate chip anything because most animals cant have chocolate. Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks for the great ideas everyone!! I can't wait to try all of these things out!! I found out that they LOVE to eat flowers (only the leaves) and the greens of carrots! But I am definitely going to try out all these things!!!
I sit with my chickens too! They are almost a month, so I am going to let them start sleeping in their coop sometime soon! Im exited! No more stinky rooms for me!!! But I love to sit with them because they climb all over me!!
Meal worms? That sounds strange.... but I will definatly try it!! And the chicken football is what my chicks do with the greens of carrot! It's so cute, but it gets me nervous! It does look like they're going to hurt eachother!!! But I'm exited to try mealworms! Thanks!!! Any other ideas?
