    Well, Elsa didn't make it, she died. So now we are trying to upgrade our coop so we can separate the different breeds. We're starting with a quarantine area and then we'll add a larger section for just the silkies.

    Longhorns lay a lot too... but they can be mean and/or finicky ....

    I'm not speaking from experience but, from what I've read, bantams are not the best egg layers...

    I Lost my girls today :*(

    And I know that I was off topic, sorry.... Sorry for your loss... One of my Americana's was trampled just a few days ago by the rest of my flock :(
