I'm a loser. I've set about a dozen this go-around, and ONE hatched. Now, they are my eggs, and I think my Roo is a bit lazy, but now I've got a single chick with a mirror for a friend.
Hi Chirpy! Long time no chat. I called my hens 'chickens' again.
Anyone have any idea what would happen if my roo (a--I think--bantaam Houdan) gets with the hens? (Golden sex links, Ameracaunas--don't know how to spell it). It could be downright scary.

As usual, I haven't said much in a while, but I've been keeping up some. I think it's time to see if I can hatch some eggs--have never tried. I'm going to start learning about home incubators and such, but, who knows when a good time to do it is? (weather-wise) And how many should I try...
Welcome! I haven't been on the site since March, so I feel new! I'm in Littleton Colorado, not too far. You'll love chickens; I have a dozen, and they're really fun (and everyone loves me because of the eggs)
Hello! Lots of Colorado people--fun! I really don't get on here often enough. So what is up with the livestock shows in Greeley? Sounds interesting. I have 4, count 'em FOUR chickens left. Coyotes, a roving puppy, etc. Going to buy more soon.
How did we get 7000 members?!!? Wow
Andrea
Man I just got knocked off the site.
I see some for sale sometimes--can't think of where. Goodcitybyelife or something like that had some.
You're way outside my league, I'll be getting 10 or so. We've got 10 acres, but are still pretty much 'backyard' keepers.
Yeah, I read a lot of it.
I'm going to have to buy some chicks soon. I was thinking about doing it online, but my favorite store (Murdocks on Sante Fe) will have them in a couple of months. Anyway I got some good ideas.
Gary and Jen (correct?) probably gave up.

Hi! I haven't been on this website for ages, I'm surprised no one answered you yet; there are some CO people. I'm in the Denver area. I have only 5 chickens left; a friend's dog came to visit.
Welcome.
Andrea
I have four which are probably really 'Easter Egg' chickens instead of real aracuanas (sort of a mutt). They laid pretty early--like 18 weeks. Green eggs.
