Will a roo breed an immature hen/pullet?

Thanks. My roo is experienced. I have a young (his daughter that was hatched last September) Fawn Duckwing Bantam and was wondering. I also have her mother and saw my roo breed her this morning. I'm wondering if she is ready to lay again?

Might seem like a silly question, but will a roo breed a hen that isn't ready for laying?

    Keeping Guineas and Bees

Quote: If the bees are out and about and the guinea's are around, they can snack on the bees. The only way an enclosure helps the bees is to keep the guinea's away from the hive body.

What time do your chickens go to bed?

Mine go in way before dark. Probably about an hour before. They put themselves to bed and that is that. I just go and close the coop door. Easy peasy...

    Paternal Instincts in Roos?

That is just the sweetest picture of the roo and baby I have ever seen. I have a Bantam roo that has had a chick hatch and he seems to know that it is his. He is very sweet and caring for it like he does his hens.
