Can anyone tell me if BLRW are accepted at 4-H shows for county fairs? I thought maybe they would not be allowed to be shown cause they are not a recognized breed by APA yet. Does anyone show their BLRW?
HOOF,WOOF,and PEEP on this farm.
I'm looking for advice on my culling of my BLRW roos. I purchased 8 eggs from Julie3810 (gabbard farm) last year and ended up with only 5 fertiles that hatched. So I now have 3 roos and 2 hens. Along with the rest of the flock. I would like to start cull out my roos but not sure what to do since...
Anyone make it to Kalona yesterday? How much do chickens sell for there? I would have really liked to take my pullets up, but not sure if it is worth the drive.
I went to the Centerville Exotic & Bird Sale. I couldn't stay to watch the birds sell, but they had a nice turnout. Lots of Red Stars. They must be really popular here.

OMG! I am planning a vacation in June in FtWB. Love it there! Used to visit every summer when we were growing up. Glad to know that there are chicken lover's there too!

I have had chickens for around five years now. Have ordered from McMurray twice now. I am an buff orpington lover, unfortunately lost my whole flock a couple of years ago to a four-legged thief. Having trouble replacing my hens. Ended up with white wyandotte, turkens, red star, black...
