    The two that are laying, one is a Plymouth Rock and I think the other is a Sapphire Gem. The Orpington, Rhode Island Red and two Polish are not.

    I have 6 hens. Only 2 are laying eggs. One has been laying for about 3 weeks, the other for 2 weeks. Is it normal that my other 4 haven't been laying eggs yet? They are all posturing.

    I have 6 baby chicks about 7-8 weeks old. During the day, its about 70-80 degrees right now and at night it can drop to 45. Can I let the girls out yet? I do not want to put a heating source in the coop because of the fire danger. Thanks!

    Okay, I may have to separate him for a while then. They seem to want nothing to do with him right now. Should I be worried about him being in the coop with them at night as well?

    I do think some of it is mating behavior, but then he'll chase after them, pin their head down and bite their neck. He isn't mounting them.

    I just have the one EE. Im not sure of the other breeds. I'll post pictures though and maybe you all can help us. Right now, all I know, is that we have a black one, red one, and light orange one.
