Update - I looked at the local pigeon fanciers club and the closest member has the following breeds: Norwich cropper, fantail, archangel, Modena. I think this one is possibly an archangel???
I’m a chicken gal, and a new-to-chickens kind of chicken gal at that. This little kid was at the barn where I board my horse tonight and had been there for the past few days. They also have a commercial egg operation on the property.
It can fly and is walking around pecking at things. I walked...
We can order off Amazon.com but definitely more expensive than Amazon.ca - shipping (my prime acct not transferable to US) and we have to pay import fees and horrible exchange rates.
Doesn’t seem to be available through Amazon in Canada. I found one equine supplement abailable but it’s $130/5kg plus shipping 😰 I’ll keep an eye open for it!
Yes, 3 eggs per day seems really unusual! She’s done it about 5 times in the past 2 months.
I'm not a breeder - just a small urban flock with no roo. I was worried about the possibility of shortened life and repro disease as well. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a problem of an external al...

I did try on 3 separate days to leave her inside and see if she would eventually give in and find her way out. However she went until 3-4pm without moving an inch and I put her out to get food and water before it was time to go back in. She was famished and parched each time of course.
Thanks so much for your reply - I trimmed Francesca’s muffs and yesterday widened the ramps (to 20” wide! Lol). I started supervised free ranging the flock as well to get her a little more exercise and encourage exploration. I’ve been luring her with a measuring spoon and this morning was the...
