Does anybody have any experience with these dog runs?

We use a very similar dog run for our bantams. It has worked great so far- we did add a hardware cloth apron around the bottom and I have chicken wire over the top. The chicken coop is a barn style dog house. It was very easy to set up.

    chicken acting drunk, shaking

I had a very similar situation about 3 months age. 1 chicken staggering around, unable to keep it's balance. Others were fine. I took the sick chicken into the house for about a week- it gradually recovered, although she is still a little wobbly at times. I notice that she also holds one...

Need Egg Pictures for Egg Color Chart.

Hey Cat, I have Black Dutch Bantams, but they lay white eggs, not brown. Well, one of them lays eggs that are a little more cream than white, but still nowhere near brown. I can get pictures if you'd like.

    hoop house using electrical conduit?

I never made a chicken coop out of electrical conduit, but I did make a medieval pavilion framework out of it. It works fine, is easy to put together, and can be bent into curves as well. Just expect some funny looks and muttered asides from wherever you buy it from. The easiest thing to do...

    Electric Fence is working!

I have a small fence (roughly 2 feet high) set out about 3 feet from my dog kennel pen. It has two hot wires on it. You can see the green fence here-I added the wires right after taking this picture.

    Electric Fence is working!

The year is going out with a bang. First thing this morning, while the light was still dim, I go out to feed my dog and find him curled up with a snake in his bed. After nearly having a heart attack, I realize the snake is dead, not a water moccasin after all but some other water snake. I...

How secure are plastic storage box/sheds really?

Most of the rubbermaid type boxes seem to be placed in pretty secure pens. I wouldn't trust one alone.

which cities in US allows chickens/hens with or without permit?

Mobile, AL currently allows up to 25 birds. However, the city council is currently reviewing all the animal statutes, so chicken lovers need to get their voice heard. Call your city council person and let them know that you want chickens legal in Mobile.

Housing for ducks - dog kennel?

It works great for me. We live in South Alabama. I did wrap it with chicken wire and hardware cloth for extra predator protection. Ours came from Lowes, and my son and husband had it put together in an hour.
