I have chukar and pigeons together with no issues. Have done this for a couple of years. I also have big pens with lots of room. 12 x 12 with 6 chukar and the rest pigeons. I have roosts for the pigeons up high and rocks piled for the chukar so there are no space battles for roosting.- bbqsfarm

Bobwhites Adding new birds Help/Questions
Need some advice on the proper way to introduce new birds to each other. I lost a bunch (still not sure why) But have one male left. In another pen I have 10 that I hatched in June that I kept. Can I put the younger birds in with this male now or not? I hate to cull him. He has been wormed... -

Bad Hatch Deformity Question

What are the rules for gathering eggs for eating?
It is 90+ here right now. I work during the day but I check before work, when I get home and then again before dark. I get most of my eggs after work but not sure how long they have been there by the time I get home. But of course they are out during the heat of the day. -
Oxytetracycline dose and safe for quail?
I was able to get Oxytetracycline HCI powder. Is this safe for quail and what would the dose be per gallon of water. I have the meds here but cannot figure out dosage for sure. -

How Do I Increase the chances for a Couturnix Quail to go Broody?
I have a pigeon sitting on a quail egg in a shoe box so when it hatches it cannot fall out. I will take it away at hatch time. I have a pigeon pair that seem to want to hatch anything! I think but by far do NOT know much you would do better with a pigeon, I think they can co habitate better... -

Cleaning the uncubator after a hatch
I need to clean my incubator and have not done this before. Any recommendations. I want to get it cleaned and start a new hatch. This time with Cortunix, I just hatched bobs.
