    Help! My five year old cinnamon queen has a fractu/broken leg and it just hangs. What can I do?

    I found a vet that would look at her this morning. He hadn’t worked with any chickens but said he would try to splint it and if she picks at it or it doesn’t heal well, he did say that she should be fine with one leg. We will see.

    I can feel the break in the upper part of her leg. She isn’t putting any weight on it and apparently can’t use it. I’m super upset and don’t want her to suffer. Thanks for any help.

    2 1/2 weeks old. Bought from tractor supply labeled as leghorn. Hoping it’s not a cornish. Any help appreciated!

    I bought a few of these pullets which were labeled leghorns are tractor supply. They are 2 1/2 weeks old. Keeping my fingers crossed they are leghorns and not Cornish cross! Any help appreciated!

    Thanks for the info! I give them egg layer pellets with oyster in it. Do I need to supply more? I have been reading some other posts and it scares me to think she may be "egg bound" or have an illness. It's funny when I started with these 6, they were just chickens and now they are something...

    I have 6 chickens, 3 red sex links, a production red, barred rock, and an australorp. I have caught the 3 red sex links and production red laying. I think the barred rock is laying too but haven't caught her. We are getting 4 eggs and sometimes a 5th. Anyway we have had an egg with a thin shell...
