I found a vet that would look at her this morning. He hadn’t worked with any chickens but said he would try to splint it and if she picks at it or it doesn’t heal well, he did say that she should be fine with one leg. We will see.
I can feel the break in the upper part of her leg. She isn’t putting any weight on it and apparently can’t use it. I’m super upset and don’t want her to suffer. Thanks for any help.
I bought a few of these pullets which were labeled leghorns are tractor supply. They are 2 1/2 weeks old. Keeping my fingers crossed they are leghorns and not Cornish cross! Any help appreciated!
