Hello! I came across this thread googling Privett Buckeyes. The american Buckeye club has Privett as having stock that are nice quality and originally came from Sand Hill. Can you comment and their adult weights and growth pattern? As in how big are they are fryers (16 weeks or so)? I've been...
Yes it is; I'm actually in a rural area so I'm not really a backyard chicken raiser (although they are in my backyard), but each city in ohio has different chicken codes.
I'm bumping this, I would like to replace the solid state Tstat on old LG with a wafer but for some reason the temp isn't getting high enough? Wondering what I did wrong.
I don't think I've ever seen movement in the turkey eggs:( as an update the air cells have grown and they've got even darker so I'm just going to wait it out! Oh and I bought some "backup" eggs!
Cross posting here:
I've been doing this for a few years now and I still can't tell anything about turkey eggs! These are day 10, is my Tom shooting blanks?
Here is an unincubated egg:
You can see the day 10s are a little darker and have a more discernible air sac, just a little. Thanks!!

Lucky for you I subscribed to this;) I am placing an order soon with Moyers for mid March. Next order will be for early May. Let me know if you'd like any. Last years cockerel pricing was about $1.10 inc shipping.
Also the boys seem to have more black "spotting" on their backs, at least mine do, they are from Whitmore farm. Comb color is another good tell, the boys are dark pink to reddish and girls pale pink.
