Hello! We have 2 orpingtons, 2 speckled sussex, and 2 dominiques. This weekend I met a sweet bantam cochin and just loved her. I am wondering: Can a bantam cochin join a flock of 6 large birds? What advice do you have for me?
I will say that we love all our girls but one Dominique is pulling...
We got them all from Myer Hatchery. http://www.meyerhatchery.com/
Great purchasing experience and support since then. Happy healthy chicks. Pearl, the blue orpington, is beautiful.
I don't have "permissions" to attach photos to posts, but if you look in my profile there's an album of them and...

Our chicks were born May 6, 2013. They were brooded inside, and with a lamp. Now it's time for them to move to the coop. I'm worried they will be scared, or cold. What do I do about lighting??
Hello. Our chicks are nearly 2 months old (born May 6, 2013). During the day we've taken them into a big dog pen for supervised hop abouts. They are desperate to move outside. So yesterday we built our first coop. The foundation took longer than predicted, and we ended up moving the chicks into...
