I just recently bought a little giant egg turner for my egg incubator, but I also ordered a few African goose eggs to test out, and I'm pretty positive they will not fit. Has anyone else run across this problem and made their own design or does anyone have any ideas? I get my eggs this upcoming...
I know I'm always the problem child when it comes to incubating because I'm such a worry wart and newbie, but I need some help spacewise with my hatch. I've got 5 eggs due to hatch Sunday but I literally have no room for the 5th. I am doing a staggered hatch of 18 so I can't really lay them on...
I just finished candling and sniffing the egg and there seems to be no distinct or bad smell. I think there are veins? It's hard to see through the nail polish that I applied to the cracks. It is an extra egg my supplier gave me so it's in a smaller carton farther from the light. I'll send a pic...
Day 18 is tomorrow for my first batch of 6! Only one infertile :) rest seem to be developing ok fingers crossed. Hoping that this early batch doesn't screw up my later one that I put in a week after. Going to try and keep it as contained and clean as possible! Wish me luck!!!
I'll send pictures of the egg being candled soon...
I think I can see veins but I'm not sure if it's just the shell. The eggs were only a day or two old when I put them in. We are on day 7 now. All the other eggs are developing properly and have embryos. One of the cracked eggs I candled again...
I have looked around the web to see if this has happened to anyone else but I came up with nothing. My eggs are randomly cracking in the incubator. One I think is developing an embryo, but the top part where the air cell is, is cracked quite a bit. I'm not positive it is developing though...
Ok so good news on my hatch! I got a surprise delivery from my breeder!!! A dozen and a half new eggs to replace the poor babs that cracked. After the hatching attempts I've done it's still hard to not make attachments. I fixed the problem I had with my turner before and it's working well...
I thought when I joined this hatch along all wa going well, UNTIL this morning I turned the eggs in their carton and they spilled out everywhere cracking more than half the eggs! I put nail polish on the cracks and taped some cloth on badly cracked ones. None of the badly cracked ones were...
Hiya there! It's the spring season so I thought I'd share my poor excuse for an incubator. I'm currently using a inkbird plug and play controller (ITC-308) and it ranges from 98.9-101 rarely going down to 98.5, and generally regains temp pretty fast, so I hope that it will work for my eggs...
