No clue! I picked up the quail eggs and was also given a dozen and a half (or so. I didn't count) pheasant eggs. He said nothing else besides they were given to him by another. He had no time to hatch them, but were told they were fertile.

:-/ After 2 years of the dogs being so good and ignoring the chickens, they got a few today. :-/ Not sure what set it off, but I had 2 kids run in and tell me the dogs were trying to eat chickens. I am down to 15. I had 18... IDK of anyplace that will butcher them now with so few. Any thoughts...

Well, I dropped of 2 incubators to my kids' teachers today! These 2 have never hatched before. I am picking up chicken eggs from Townline the week after Spring Break for them to hatch. :-) I have auto turners, so it is easier on them. The 3rd teacher has hatched eggs several years for another...

@eatwhatyougrow Nope! Never raised meat birds before. We have hatched before and I know the smell. :-/ I wanted a batch to process before I go camping Memorial Day Weekend. Otherwise I would have waited a bit and housed them in the shed/coop. I am tempted to move them out there once they have...

Good morning all! I get to drive across state (From Muskegon to Detroit) this morning for a semi annual neuropsych eval for my ASD child. It's a "school needs to quit this BS fighting with us because he is so high functioning" type of thing as well as a "so high functioning there is no help, but...

Sorry @ChicwannaB I just ordered some from Shelbyville. He will ship if you want. I am picking mine up though. I'm not any closer though. I am getting mine from West Michigan Game Birds. He was actually the only one to reply to me. I am sending them to the kids' school to hatch after spring...

I come and go a lot. lol Sorry. Things get hectic here fast! The baby was born with a heart defect (November 29th, 2014) and so she could not cry a lot due to poor oxygen saturation. She had open heart surgery 3 weeks ago. Doing well. It was a long 2 weeks at DeVos. Anyway, we want to hatch...

Mine are free range in my yard... Is free range the correct term? Hmm.... Our yard is fenced in. I suppose I should finish their run by winter, but I kinda like them wandering about. At night they go back to the shed. Anyway, all of them were out walking around in the rain. lol They looked...

He is... 6ish months? I got him with the others and I remember that they are right at egg laying age right now. Sorry. I know that is not very helpful. And yes I did raise him from a chick. Lots of interaction. They were in our livingroom till 6ish weeks. Then to the mud room, then outside. We...

Opa and Maah, your garden talk has me jealous! No garden here. The foundation guys dug up part of the back for the addition and got our outside line to the hoses... No one noticed till the week I went to turn on the water (the week after they filled it back in and started the rest). :-/ So no...
