    I have a baby muscovy with no signs of a wattle yet. Anyone know what this means? My other 3 clearly are developing one but he(i think) is not.

    3 healthy ducklings so far! One more is pipping and 2 are active inside the egg still. All a bit late but I am so happy my first batch is going pretty darn smoothly!

    Sad to say little chick did not make it. I did my very best but it wasn't meant to be. I still have 7 eggs under my muscovy and it is day 37 So I hope they hatch soon.

    It is day 37 of my Muscovy sitting her her nest and there is no sign of peeping but I know they are still alive. Anyone had experiences with very late hatches? Maybe because it's cooler this time of year? Been between 0-10 Celsius over the hatch cycle with an average of 5 Celsius.

    I also just checked on the muscovy eggs under mom. Unfortunately 7 were duds out of 15. I'm glad I checked because a couple were about to explode. That would have been a disaster.
