I am curious as to the 'timing' of my girls' laying habits. They never seem to cackle until late in the day. it's now cold and dark most of the mornings, and we turn on a light at about 7-8 am. they still don't start making noise until 3-4 hrs later. and I have a few that like to lay an egg...
I am wondering if eating scraps and veggies will make the girls too fat to want to lay. Do you free feed the treats, fruits and stuff, like the photo of the broccoli? what's your take on this. Also, how much oyster shell calcium? Do you mix it or put it in a separate container?
Whoops!
For 6 pullets: sizes of feeder, waterer, space req. how much feed, nest boxes, bedding, flooring? hay, straw? what temp in the coop?
I am too new to know where to look all that up. THX again~Mary
HEY all you chicken back yarders!
Can someone please direct me to a list that I can print out to take with me and share with others?
My friend wants pullets, I want to help, language is a issue, but a printed list is not.
I know you guys all know where to find the list...ha ha. I can't locate...
