I would try a .22. My neighbors know if my chickens are endangered by their animals I won't hesitate to shoot them. I dont let my animals invade their property so tjey should do the same
If they free range, look for hiding spots and you might find eggs. I jad a leghorn that wouldn't lay in the nesting box unless I kept her locked in the coop all day. If you don't let them range I would check for parasites
Just give it time. They'll work things out themselves. It's hard to tame birds you didn't raise from birth. Sometimes they never come around, sometimes they do
