    I'd buy a new one. Or do what was stated and use the rubber bowls with the birdbath heater. Or, if you can make a homemade heat source that would be even a better bet. As you will be the one putting it together and then are able to fix it.

    I, too, keep the water and food in the coop. Worked great for me last year so I am assuming it will work good for me this year! Either way, great set-up! Should work as you expect it to.

    Hello! I am from Isanti! Currently I have 16 chickens total. And......annnnnnnnnnnnd....... 3 ducks! I am not a fan of them at all (I just sold 7) but the remainders are the wife's favorite. It is a mix between orpingtons, silkies, and a frazzle? That's what I call him!

    Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Here in MN I sell mine for $3/doz also. Any higher and I got that sour look and the "Maybe nextime" any lower and it seems like I would break even or lose out a little.

    Thank you! I am really leaning on that idea. My bucket with the heater inside and the nipples seems to keep freezing so I think I might scrap that idea.
