    What breed is this?

Here they are more grown. Don't look like easter eggers I've seen pics of but would love if they were.

Hen sneezing repeatedly and making weird noises

Sneezing sounds like a respiratory disease or maybe even pneumonia. Especially if she is gasping for air. I don't know the treatment for it but it can be deadly.

    Brooder expansion

Yeah lol. I totally see them jumping on the dog crate door and then on top of the crate. I have mine in a ferret cage with 3 levels and they jump/fly instead of using the ramps. They run out of space fast and get really gutsy. Something else I'll mention is please be super careful using duct...

Breed? Not sure what i have . I new to the forum and also second time having chickens.

No worries! I just now got my own first flock (only helped my parents with theirs before and like I said only really had experience with the RIRs so when I see red that's what comes to mind lol. I love chickens and am learning a lot from this group so I appreciate pointing out the differences)

The reddish ones looked like Rhode island reds to me but I've only had esperience with RIR, wellsummers, barred rock and cinnamons so 🤷‍♀️.

For animals that have passed should still be loved👍🏽🥺

This is lucky. She only lived a few days but already had our hearts. If she heard my voice she would start crying until I would go pick her up and she would just shut her eyes and cuddle up to me.

    What breed is this?

I was told these were wynadotte but they don't look like any pictures of wynadotte chicks I can find. Anyone know what kind these are? They are definitely less cuddly than our Rhode island reds and cinnamon queens but are also more curious and cooperative lol.

    Baby chick pecking others help

Yeah, totally normal for a little pecking here and there just don't want them to all gang up on one or for the one to make any bleed. If you catch them in the act you can pick her up and separate her or show her youre the head chick by pressing down gently on her back. She should squat down...

Help! Lethargic chick not eating and barely drinking

She was pooping. Died last night😭. Still concerned for the other one whose vent is swollen. She is pooping as well, or at least does after I clean it.

Help! Lethargic chick not eating and barely drinking

Hi all, I just got 12 chicks from tractor supply (4 Rhode island reds, 4 wynadotte I think, and 4 cinnamon queens). 2 of the 4 cinnamon queens are having trouble. I found one this morning lying on the ground near the water bowl and the others were just walking right on her. I went to pick her...

    Intro

Hi all! We just got our batch of 12 chicks. We helped my parents raise chickens before but this is our first personal flock. We have 4 cinnamon queens, 4 Rhode island reds and 4 austrolorpe (or maybe wynadotte, can't remember). My husband and I have a daughter and a son (5 & 8 respectively)...
