    Scared to free range.

    i don't let mine free range now(lost too many to hawks) but when i did shaking the treat jar and chick-chick-chick would get them to come running back to the coop 😊

    A lot of eggs

    my grandaughter loves something called cloud bread( i keep telling her it's just baked meringue) that uses egg whites only so i found a lemon pie recipe that uses just yolks. thankfully no one is tired of deviled eggs yet lol

    Broody Hen

    how long has she been broody? i give my hens several days to make sure they will stay broody then move them and the eggs to our small coop. i give the hen chick starter and water. after the eggs hatch make sure she's not attacking the chicks and mama hen will take it from there.

    i've had bantams and large breed chicks in the brooder together and all did just fine.bantys are tougher than they look! 😊

    How many chickens can you have?

    it's really fluid. right now it's 10 hens and 2 roos. got a broody sitting on 6 eggs, if they all hatch i'll be up to 18, until whatever roos hatch get up to freezer size.
