    Egg Eating Troubles: Are Roll-Away Nesting Boxes the Solution?

    Afternoon We have the same problems recently. I purchased a roll away nesting box, it’s been a week and only 3 hens use the box. I know it will take time, but the egg eating continues. I’m going to try filling an empty egg shell with mustard to deter them eating more 🤞🏻👨🏻‍🌾

    Good morning, thank you we appreciate all your advice. She is still alive 🙏🏻, standing but still has a problem keeping her head up. Poop looks more regular today. Doesn’t appear that she ate much, if any, if the egg mixture. Unfortunately due to a Fox in the area, we don’t free range any more...

    Thank You… her poop is watery, we placed her in a separate pen with food (cooked egg) & water (electrolytes) and added vitamin E, B complex and selenium. Her neck looks abnormally long and she can’t hold it up. She is well established in the flock and up until this morning was eating regularly...

    Eye problem

    Good evening We have a 12 week old Golden Pencil Hamburg hen. We noticed today that her left eye is closed and she’s spending more time inside the coop. She appears alert and we haven’t noticed changes in appetite. Any ideas????? Thanks ….. Bill
