i don't measure, just pour a littlei in, our chickens prefer the acv water over just plain tap water

i been using acv with medicated feed for 14 weeks now on 21 chicks, all 21 chicks are doing great, last year we didn't use acv or medicated feed on our chicks and we lost 2 chicks out of every 4 we got, so this year when we purchased new chicks we over brought thinking we're going to lose some...

purina starter/grower feed says on the bag feed until 18 weeks

our chicks 9 BR (11 weeks old) and 12 production reds (7weeks old) are eating 50lbs of medicated purina feed and 5 lbs of bird grit every two weeks, it's been this way since we got them 7 weeks ago.

we started to let our 12 production reds out in the run at age 2 weeks old for a couple hours , they're 5 weeks old now and doing great

it's normal,

they're ready, we put 12 production reds in the coop at 3 days with temps going down to low 30's at nite, at two weeks old they were free to roam inside the run, now they're 5 weeks old and doing great

local breeders often advertise on craigslist under farm and garden, also try your local feed store

coop 1, 7 hens, coop 8x8= 64 sqft, run 10x10 = 100sqft coop 2, 21 chicks, coop 7x7=49sqft, run 10x20 = 200sqft

we feed them layer crumbles they refuse to eat the pellets

we use pine shaving

we put our 3 day old chicks in the coop with 3 150watt heat lamps, that was 4 weeks ago and all chicks are doing great

we're using a 4x3 dog pen for our brooder inside the coop for 12 chicks, we purchased them from our local feed store when they were 3 days old, now they're almost 3 weeks old now and all are doing fine,

we just increase our flock from 1 year old laying hens to 9 4 week old b/r and 12 3 day old production reds.
