I will definately posts pics as soon as they come!!!!!!!!!!!

we just increase our flock from 1 year old laying hens to 9 4 week old b/r and 12 3 day old production reds.

I'll be curious to see how you like the dixie rainbows. I ordered 25 of them also from Mt Healthy along with 25 comets and 100 EE.

This is my first time ordering Dixie Rainbows, I wanted different(colorful) egg layers and they recommended them to me. I wanted a nice colorful flock but also a sustainable flock. If all goes well I will have one flock of each EE's, Naked Necks, Dixie Rainbows, and Silkies(and a few other bantams). Then one mixed flock of some of my original birds plus a few more for eye candy. Like the Marans, Barnevelder, and Speckled Sussex. The others on the order are for a few friends that I will raise them till they can go outside. I have the time and space so I don't mind.

GGHH!!! I ordered most of my chicks from a local farm. When I decided to add the last 2 kinds, I asked if it would be possible to add them to my previous order. What I was told is that they've decided to no longer sell day olds, they will only sell started pullets....and that they won't be available till June! So now I'm scrambling to find replacement suppliers!!! I've ordered 5 kinds so far...and of course one of those wasn't even on my original list...LOL...so here I go adding to the flock as I try to make it up!
