You are correct to be worried about them being out at night! Make sure that thier pen is predator proof....that is, lined inside with hardware cloth! OK, serve all meals IN THE PEN. My ducks get a small meal in the morning before I open the door of the pen, and dinner in the pen at the SAME...- birdbaby4241

Hello, The ducks will make your chicken pen too wet and muddy for the chickens. Also, the ducks can not live healthy lives on chicken scratch. They need a specific diet for waterfowl. To be fair, you need to keep these birds in separate quarters.- birdbaby4241
