My duck seemed to have pulled out her big feathers? Any idea why.

One early morning I heard Molly utter a few load shreeks. On closer investigation I saw about ten of her feathers lie in a neat circle? Can anyone shed some light on this

Sounds like she was attacked.

No she's the only duck, just arrived 3 months ago, she sleeps outside

How old is she and how well protected is your coop...is it covered?

If Molly was attacked she would be jumpy and alert. When you went outside was she like that? Some ducks just pull out their feathers for the hell of it. If she sleeps without cover or a coop it was most likely she was attacked.
If she does not have a pen you could just put her in a box at night in the house. It does not have to be big with lots of space to run just enough for her to fit comfortably sit turn and turn around then let her out at daytime
