Thanks for the heads up. We also have lots of coyotes and several neighborhood dogs that run loose. I am planning to have a predator-proof (I hope) coop, the type you can move around in the yard (tractor?). Still researching it all, but I think it will be a nice addition to the neighborhood...

I am planning to start keeping chickens in Bloomfield, Michigan. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this area? I am pretty sure there is an ordinance against farm animals, but wasn't planning to ask permission. I won't have roosters...any other suggestions?
