Chickens in Bloomfield, MI?

I have chickens in Oakland County... the Michigan Right To farm Act will let you Keep your "farm " only if you sell the eggs/chickens and follow GAAMPS... make sure your ready with what GAAMPS are and you should be fine. It will trump your local ordinances if you do it the right way.. Remember it was not passed to allow everyone to farm their city blocks... we do have to step lightly to fall under the protection the law provides us.

Thanks for all the advice. I plan to be very considerate of neighbors, fill them in, keep "quiet" birds, and sell my eggs as needed. I hope to confirm prior to beginning that chickens are not disallowed from my area (Bloomfield Twp is a separate township from West Bloomfield and may have different ordinances, also different from Bloomfield Hills city). I have some discreet research to do before starting my operation!
