Hi! Thank you for asking.
He’s doing better. I gave him a warm bath yesterday, and he LOVED it. He started diving and splashing around.
My brother felt the tendon, and he said it didn’t seem different from the other one. The hip also stayed in place.
There was tight muscles in his leg...
Is there anything specific that I should be feeling when I touch the tendon on his leg? (To know whether it’s in place or not) I just honestly don’t have any experience with this kind of injury.
Hi! Thank you so much for your reply.

Yes, I have 3 other drakes.
It started on Saturday morning. He slipped on the straw when coming out of...
I also checked his leg. It seemed slightly warmer to the touch than the other leg, but it wasn’t hot.
There seemed to be a bit of swelling around the hock and the tendon on the back of his leg, but it seemed pretty much the same as the pictures I posted yesterday.
Hi! I gave him B complex today, and some magnesium.
He seemed a little better in the morning, but seems to get worse as the day is progressing. (I don’t if it’s because of the cold? Or movement?)
Then I tried the Epsom salt soak. I put him in a large bowl of warm water with the salt, and I...
Thank you! Yes, he’s adorable, and a really patient and sweet duck. Thank you for your reply. I didn’t feel his foot specifically for heat/cold, but I will try to see.
Again, I would be grateful for any opinion from the side. I never had ducks with such an issue, and I want to treat it in time, especially if it’s slipped tendon.
I’m not sure if it’s slipped tendon? Or is it just swelling?
We unfortunately don’t have any avian vets in the area, but I want to do anything I can to help him.
