Slipped tendon in duck? Please help!

Thanks for the pictures. He's a pretty guy!

His leg doesn't look too bad, nor does it look misaligned that I can tell. Does it feel hot to the touch?

You could soak it for 10-15 minutes at a time in warm Epsom salt water as that might ease any pain he's feeling. The B-complex should help his leg regardless of what happened. For him, you could give a regular human pill per day. You can't really overdo it. I'd give it to him for at least a week, probably two.

Thank you! Yes, he’s adorable, and a really patient and sweet duck. Thank you for your reply. I didn’t feel his foot specifically for heat/cold, but I will try to see.

Hi! I gave him B complex today, and some magnesium.
He seemed a little better in the morning, but seems to get worse as the day is progressing. (I don’t if it’s because of the cold? Or movement?)
Then I tried the Epsom salt soak. I put him in a large bowl of warm water with the salt, and I could not get him to stay there any longer than one minute at a time.
He would start thrashing, and I would take him out for him to calm down.
After the third try, I stopped, because his gait seemed to become more stiff and awkward.
I hope that I didn’t make things worse…I was thinking about giving him a warm bath where he could actually float, but I’m not sure if movement would be helpful.

I also checked his leg. It seemed slightly warmer to the touch than the other leg, but it wasn’t hot.
There seemed to be a bit of swelling around the hock and the tendon on the back of his leg, but it seemed pretty much the same as the pictures I posted yesterday.

There doesn’t seem to be any significant swelling anywhere, just the back of his leg - the tendon looks slightly larger compared to the other leg.

It does sound like he injured it somewhere. I'd not try that soaking again if he won't cooperate.

I'm not sure about the floating idea, though. I think that would be okay, but let me get someone with more experience with duck leg issues here. @Jenbirdee @Miss Lydia

A nice warm bath where he can float and gently move his legs would be fine. If it's very cold where you live you might have to keep him in once he is wet to dry real good.

Are you using the liquid B Complex? that dose would be 1ml daily.

It doesn't look like any slipped tendon I have seen. Do you have other drakes? sometimes being chased, they can run and injure themselves.
If you can run your fingers gently down the back of his leg you maybe to feel the tendon is out of place. Since the swelling isn't really bad. Also I have seen where a sling is made and the bird is place in with legs out the holes where the feet don't touch the floor. This is for a chicken but it gives you an idea on how to make a sling for him. and how long he should be in it during the day.

Hi! Thank you so much for your reply.
I am using B complex in tablet form. (I will attach the pictures)
I crush it and let it dissolve, then I put it on bread, and so far he ate everything.
Yes, I have 3 other drakes.
It started on Saturday morning. He slipped on the straw when coming out of the cage. He started to favor his leg after that, so I separated him and gave him Arnica/Ruta graveolens, and Arnica gel topically three times a day.
Then yesterday morning, before I could take him out of the cage, he ran out, and slipped and fell on the same side again, and that is when he started having all of those symptoms.

Is there anything specific that I should be feeling when I touch the tendon on his leg? (To know whether it’s in place or not) I just honestly don’t have any experience with this kind of injury.

Here is the B complex I am using.
