So I've been incubating button quail eggs. I candled them a while ago and out of 12 eggs, 6 had clear veins in them.
It'll be day 19 tomorrow, what do I do? Leave them longer, or crack them open? How likely is it that they will actually hatch :(
Hi, So just over a week ago I ordered 12 fertile button quail eggs from ebay :)
Today (I think it's about day 8) I candled them and 6 of the eggs had very clear veins in them! Looks like I could possibly get some chicks! :D
Hello
I'm currently incubating 12 quail eggs. They are on about day 5. I candled them today and in two of them I can see this red blob, it's a kinda line shape but it's definitely not a vein. What is it? Is it a good thing or a bad thing? :)
I'm currently building a avairy which will be 12ft long, 6ft wide and about 7-8ft high. The mesh is 1x1 inch. I'm planning to hatch some button quail, are they going to escape through the mesh? :hmm
I've been incubating some quail eggs that were meant to hatch yesterday, They are from a grocery store. I just decided to have a peek in the incubator and the one that I thought was fertile has a yellowish puddle around it! What's happened?
Nope, just checked and still nothing, I held the box up to my ear and couldn't hear anything either :( Starting to think none of them are gonna hatch :(
Today Is hatching day. Its quite hard to see in the box as its got a red lid, I can't see any eggs moving. Is this normal? How likely is it they will hatch today? (if any do) :(
So all my eggs are very close together in my homemade incubator, I'm really worried now, What if it does hatch and the chick can't get out because of the other eggs being so close?! :(
