    All 4 hens are 24 weeks as of yesterday and today we got our very first egg from one of the Production Reds. We are tickled.

    I am in the Pacific Northwest. Is it the lack of long days? Just wondering if they will even start laying this year at all. 2 hens are Production Reds and 2 are Easter Eggers.

    Great! I felt like she must be a she. No crowing, she is the smallest of my chickens as well.

    "She" is now 19 weeks old. I had a lot of mixed votes on her gender when I posted her pics a month ago. Is it definitive now? Thanks!

    I guess I'm still in wait and see mode. Thought it would be obvious at this point. I agree "her" colors are splashy. Her feathers are all totally round at this point and she is smallest of all my chicks and they are all the same age. Fingers crossed.
