    Thanks! That is my suspicion too! I haven't heard it crow or seen it lay an egg, but it looks more like a boy than a girl to me but I'm not at all an expert.

    Thanks everyone! I can't get a good picture of my black one, or my 3rd white but I'll try again sometime. The whites were supposed to be bantams but you can see how gigantic they are compared to my other same aged bantams! Oh well...

    Nesting box questions

    What is the ratio of nesting boxes per hens... I have around 20 bantam hen chickens. How many boxes do I need? What are dimensions for a bantam nesting box? Thanks!

    Bunny's with Chickens

    I've never tried keeping them together but my concern would be with the rabbit having to hop in chicken poop all of the time. I would think it might aggravate the rabbit if it was always dirty! But that's just something that comes to mind.

    Of course you'll love them!! You may keep a certain fondness for your favorite that was lost but these new ones will all have their own personality and new things to love! Although my beloved hen turkey has a special place in my heart... I've loved all my birds since!
