I'm pretty sure they aren't free ranged
Yeah I told him to make a homemade electrolyte solution for them along with proper starter feed. I'll give him some probiotics as well. He says the chicks are getting more active, now we'll just have to wait and see
Update, one of the chicks is dead and the others are falling ill. Guess that's that😓
As for anyone who's saying I'm a troll, I've been a member for a pretty long time and I've always asked serious questions. I'll leave the rest to you
They're under a hen, as for food he told me he's feeding them corn starch. I don't know if its a good food for them since I always give my chicks starter feed
I've been raising chicks for some time now. A friend of mine hatched some chicks around a week ago, so I asked him about their diet and water intake. He told me that he hasn't given them any water since it's the winter and they might fall ill, and I find this concerning because a week is a lot...
I did have a humidity sensor with a built-in temperature sensor but I removed it since it wasn't giving me accurate readings. These days I often incubate a 24 egg clutch on the first day of every month so the days are counted myself(my incubator also doesn't have a counter). I've noticed my...
Hey everyone, I've been hatching chicken eggs for some time and I've noticed that almost none of my eggs hatch at the 21 day mark. Most of them hatch at day 20 and some also hatch at day 19. I find this very weird honestly. Should I have any concerns?
Update. I decided to let the little guy hatch and set an alarm at 3am. I opened the bator at 3am and surprise surprise, the little one had already hatched. Guess I should learn being patient 😅.
Today I observed a chick trying to pip externally at around 8am. I returned back around 2 and saw that the chick had made no progress. Curiosity got the better of me and I opened a bit of the egg to see what was going on. The chick was alive but now it's around 8 pm and the chick still hasn't...
No I don't see other chicks pecking it out. They spend a lot of time free ranging but I give them leftover fruits and veggies as well. They are given millet and chick/chicken feed regularly.
The golden buff is about 2-3 months old and the other one is about 4-5 months old
Hello everyone. A few days ago I saw one of my golden buff chicks losing a lot of feathers. I picked it up and noticed that it lost feathers on the belly, wings and the neck. Also, its eyelid is hanging extremely low too. Today, another one of my chicken's showing signs of feather loss, and the...
upon further inspection, it really does look like fowlpox(I live in Pakistan). These chicks are about 12 to 13 days old. Does fowlpox have a high mortality rate?
