    They can clear jump a 5ft fence but bound up or climb much higher. There can be no foot holds in a fence or wall. Coyote rollers might work.Just make sure nothing is on the other side of the wall or fence they can get up on.

    What predator can rip through hardware cloth like this?

    No one has brought up coyotes. Can they get through HC? My catico is HC so a little concerned. For our run we are using 16 gage 1/2" galvanized after wire fencing not HC. GAW is hard to find so bought it out of state. Expensive but galvanized before lasts about 5 years and after 20 years.

    Can coyotes dig all the way to the bottom of a cinder block wall. We believe ours could be as deep as 18" inches in the ground.

    I noticed our over the wall neighbors have sheds close to the walls where a coyote could get up on and clear jump into our yard, so rollers wouldn't work for us. But thanks for the idea. 🐥

    So grateful for this forum! Wondering if 16 gage wire with grid size 1/2 " is as safe from coyotes as chain link fence with an added layer of plastic deer fencing or something else with small holes is better? The wire with shipping is very expensive. I haven't priced chain link yet.

    Thanks, yes, we have a roof already. Wish we could add a skirt at the bottom but it would have to go in several neighbors yards as the cinder block walls are between properties.
