Can coyotes dig down all the way to the bottom of a cinder block wall? Ours could be as deep as 18". Thanks!

Thanks for replying everyoneI think it has to be a certain depth or angle away. Here is a good infographic with details on this info - http://www.poultrydvm.com/featured-infographic/tips-for-protecting-poultry-from-predators

Thanks, yes, we have a roof already. Wish we could add a skirt at the bottom but it would have to go in several neighbors yards as the cinder block walls are between properties.I don't think they would. They would give up before they got that deep. It's a lot of energy to expend not knowing there is an end. Depending on how tall it is, they might scale it. I used to have a 50 lb dog that could scale our 5' fence.
Well, I hope I'm right about this, but I think you're fine with 18" underground block. Most recommendations here are to go between 1' and 2' down and you're right in the middle of that. Thanks, yes, we have a roof already. Thanks! Just wish it was at least 2'. If anything I like to err on the side of too much.
I think it’d be okay with just the wall, but I would also totally go ask the neighbors if I could put down the skirt anyways. Always better being safer than sorryThanks, yes, we have a roof already.
