    I have an egg laying age chicken too RIR that is the same way. She is active, runs with a waddle, eats like a horse, no egg laying. She just became this way in the last month or so. I too am looking for an answer.

    8 chickens total 3 roosters 5 hens we dosed em all this evening, so two more day to go looked at all the chickens and they all have a few small black specks in the comb. I suspect they are all getting sick. Hope no more get sick an die.

    those black spots on the back of the crown developed after he was in isolation started the tylan 50 oral injection today of 1/2 cc per bird. Will do this for 3 days and see what shakes loose. Keep the ideas coming as I want to cover all bases.

    ok, I have some tylan (tylosin) it's the injection kind. how do I administer it? it doesn't say anything on the box for chickens can I add it to the water and make it work? or use a syring and squirt down thier mouth into throat?
