    Ducks roosting with the chickens?

    If she was older I would give that a possibility. I didn't think to mention they are all almost 5 months old. We just started getting eggs 4 days ago by 1 of the reds.

    OK so this is a new one for me, and I'm new with chickens and ducks. We have 2 mallards (a male and a female), 2 barred rocks hens, 1 easter egger hen and 3 Rhode Island red hens. We just went out to shut up the coop. Everyone was inside. The weird thing ... the ducks were up in the roost...

    Chicken math

    I always had a problem with math, chicken math is even worse. Lol. We went in to just get food for the dogs and mini mules ... came out with their food plus chick feed, 7 chicks and 2 ducklings!
