    Easter Egger hen or roo?

Well, I hope the other pullets I got really are females then. I’m pretty sure the gray one (Jewel) is but the little brown one (Brownie) is too young for me to tell. As I said earlier, they’re supposed to be about 7-9 months now, but this little brown one (Brownie) has to be a bit younger...

    Easter Egger hen or roo?

Yes, I’m aware that all chickens have saddle feathers. I meant that I was afraid that his saddle feathers were getting pointy. I didn’t know though cause his aren’t nearly as pointy as my other roosters, so I was hoping maybe he still had a chance of being a hen. Oh well! I can’t keep another...

    Easter Egger hen or roo?

I bought some Easter eggers several weeks ago. They were supposed to be 6-8 month old pullets. This one is concerning me and I’m worried that I have a cockerel. One of my roosters appeared to try to mount her a couple times when I introduced her to my flock, so I thought that confirmed she was a...

What breeds are these young chickens? Lavender Orpington? Sapphire gem?

I bought these chickens last week. The person didn’t know what breed they are. I thought they were maybe a sapphire gem and a lavender orpington, but I got some lavender orpingtons and realized this one seemed a little different. This one’s legs aren’t completely dark. So, I’m not sure what to...

Are my silkies really pullets? Or cockerels?

I bought some silkie pullets off of a girl who was selling them on Facebook. She didn’t tell me how old they were but they were off heat and I’m guessing they were about 6-7 weeks old. So, that would put them about 9-10 weeks old, but I’m just guessing. I picked them up at her farm and she...

Are my 6 week old buff Orpington “pullets” actually pullets?

Alright, since I gave the third one, Lovey, away. I have update pictures of the first 2. They are 11 weeks now. This is Comet, the first one again. This is the second one, Angel I’m afraid they’re both cockerels by the way they act, but I hope not. What do you think?😬

Are my 6 week old buff Orpington “pullets” actually pullets?

I gave chick #3 away because I thought he was a cockerel and he was getting aggressive. My friend sent me a video of him crowing, so I’m confident he’s a rooster. I’ll have to get some current pictures of the other two because I still am unsure about them at 10 weeks.

Yeah, I was worried that Lady was my only pullet.

Please help me sex my 7-8 week Light brahmas and silver laced Wyandotte

I have three 8 week old light brahmas and a silver laced Wyandotte and 2 light brahmas who are 7 weeks old. I’m afraid almost all of them are roosters. What do you think? Sorry for so many pictures. I probably should have split into 2 posts. First chicken - white tag - Lee - 8 weeks Second...
