    I'm not an expert but i was advised that the lockdown period is for them to maneuver into position ready to pip so they need no turning from this point or you wold be undoing all their hard work.

    ok so almost 4 hours later and she is dry and seems ok chirping away however she not really standing up yet. She moves around but more like drags herself. Her legs are under her but looks like she is trying to dig. Is this normal?

    here is the egg. We noticed it 2 hours ago. It was wiggling quite a bit at the time but has now settled down. if there is no change and no more wiggling, for how long do i wait (with no change) before i resign myself that she didn't make it? 24 hrs 48??

    Wow been reading through this thread and its great. I'm on day 12 of my first ever hatch and just had to remove over half my eggs for not being fertile or no signs of life. Only 6 left but they are looking great (buff Columbian pekins). I really hope its goes well after this!
