    I don't know what happened. :(

Thanks. I've got another hen on nest due to hatch in about 2 weeks and maybe Peanut will try again before the end of summer.

    I don't know what happened. :(

Sadly no. She's off with the rest of the flock and there's no sign of any alive ducklings. My stepson helped me clear out the nest. We found 2 with yolks sacks not fully absorbed that didn't make it and 5-6 unhatched eggs. No sign of any living ducklings. :(

    I don't know what happened. :(

My little Peanut has sat faithfully and yesterday we were rewarded with a hatch. Her nest is up in some bushes behind the house. I didn't want to disturb her but was able to get a peek yesterday evening and there were four perfect pretty little ducklings. I figured hatch was still happening so...

    Eating wild goose eggs

So down on our dock I found a rather large egg. It was just laying on the dock itself. At first I thought one of my duck hens had waddled out there and laid a double yoker, but the more I look at it, I suspect this may be a wild Canada goose egg. I've googled and can't seem to find a straight...

    Wild Goose Identification?

I'm leaning toward hybrid too. Pretty bird and so unusual to see with the Canada geese.

    Wild Goose Identification?

This goose has showed up on our lake with a flock of Canada geese. Albino Canada goose? Domestic goose/ Canada goose hybrid? Domestic goose that's decided to travel with this Canada goose flock? Thoughts?

Thanks! There's 5 eggs left in in the nest. I'll give it a few days to see if she takes the back to the nest and hatches out the remaining 5.

Should I be concerned about this little one?

4th year in a row Delilah has successfully hatched out. She didn't get the memo that Penkins don't go broody. LOL Hatch just started yesterday evening and I snuck this pic today. Do I need to be concerned about this little peepers wing?
