so one of my pecan ducklings started hatching late Tuesday night he is still not out.. should i be worried? the rest of them started hatching Wednesday morning

any suggestions? still not talking and its opening its mouth like its wants to squeak but nothing comes out. :confused:

have you seen any of the other ducklings beating up on her?

i have a duckling that hatched a few hours ago... but something seems off, it hasn't squeaked once! im just wondering if there is something wrong with it..

well no because i only have ducks.....

ok so i went out to check on the mamma thats suposed to be sitting on her eggs.. instead of finding her i found a broken egg here is a pic. what is your guys thoughts?

so there is no way to make them go broody?

yeah she lays a bunch of eggs but it is a little annoying to have her not hatch her own babies. thank you for helping me out :thumbsup

if im being completely honest she lays eggs in early morning then doesnt sit at all durning the day...

she is just about 2 years old.. ive hatched her ducklings before in an incubator as well.

Question so i have kaki ducks my oldest female has been laying 1-2 eggs per 24hrs but she has no initiative to sit on them. should i keep her locked up with her eggs or do kakis just not sit on their eggs..

so ive hatched a lot of ducklings and chicks but recently both chicks and ducklings keep dying 3-4 days before hatching. its very sad and frustrating... do you have any idea why this is happening?

so im hatching chicken eggs for the first time ive only ever done ducks. the chicks are a few days over due.. i candled them today and their moving but not making any hatching progress. got any advice i dont know what to do. :idunno
