    Can two roosters live together?

Aww, thank you! These two boys are the ones I wanna keep. Hopefully that can get along, the Lavender Orpington is currently the friendliest of all my chickens (hen and Roo), and the Splash is shy and timid. The other 3 I have fight sometimes, but these 2 never have. Hoping for the best! Yeah. I...

    Can two roosters live together?

I’m hoping that we can have the dominant Orpington, and the shy little Splash 2nd in command. We can’t build a new coop are anything for cycling roosters currently

    Can two roosters live together?

Yeah, I’m planning on giving 3 of them away

    Can two roosters live together?

Yeah, same thing with our old rooster. We hatched a new brood with 1 Roo and he’s a better mating bird but he attacks me constantly

    Can two roosters live together?

Thanks! I have them free ranging all summer while we do yearly repairs to the coop, and we are working a bigger run.

    Can two roosters live together?

I have about 4-5 baby roosters, all in the same brood, and I would like to keep 2 of them. They are usually tame breeds, and I have 10 hens. Could 2 friendly roos work with this amount of hens? The breeds I want to keep are Lavender Orpington and a shy, small Silverrudd splash

    Hello

Th Thanks. I definitely want to rehome some. I want to keep the lavender Orpington because he’s a nice one. The others may be tricky as they are meaner to each other.

Official BYC Poll: How Do You Keep Your Chickens Cool In Summer?

I let my flock free range during the summer, and they go into the forest under the shade and forage.

    Sexing a Silverrudd splash

Well, thanks for the input! I’m really hoping for a hen, otherwise that would make a 5/3 Roo:Hen. We need some new pullets in our flock.

Here’s a better comparison shot. Same age, same brood.

    Sexing a Silverrudd splash

This is one of the other silverrudds in the batch. About 15% bigger and you can judge the comb for yourself. Maybe the splash looks more like a hen now?

I think 12 weeks, but I’m not sure...

    Sexing a Silverrudd splash

Aww man. I was hoping for a hen, cuz we got 4 silverrudds of different colors and the others have huge and dark combs and waddles, and this one is smaller than them in all aspects

    Hello

Actually, we might! But if we do, we’re doing that on a different family members account. Not sure who though. Or we may build a bachelor flock. Any options on that?
