    I found a large clay saucer. The type you put under potted plants and I turn it upside down and place ice bags under it. The girls can sit right on top of it and cool down, some like to lay next it it. The cool moisture that condenses off it keeps the soil around it cool.

    I make my own dog food with chicken, rice and carrots. No salt or any spices. If I add extra water I have a nice clear broth. In this heat when they don't seem to drink enough I soak their food in equal part broth and feed. They love it but is this okay?

    It's a 4'x4'x4' coop on 2' footings. inside 2 nesting boxes. one perch 16" high. 4'x4'x6' front area 1/2 inch hard wire all around. Total area metal roof. They have a scratch yard 8'x8' chicken wire and fishing net on top. For daytime use. Suggestions!

    Run is up against my house

    I bought fishing net 4' by 25' at my local marine shop. This stuff is tough. Post every 4' to string it to and I secured the edges together with heavy test line. Adds a nice touch of shade. The center posts are about 12" higher, with a cable from post to post, so it's supported in the middle.
