I would keep distracting them. Make sure they are warm enough and both eating enough. When i have one who does this it often just needs distracted a few times to give up.
I picked up a group of silkies today and they included this little rooster who is apparently a calico silkie! Anyone else have some they would like to share photos of? I have never even seen one before today!

so no, i just ordered a second batch since i was already sure that two of these were boys. Glad i did. Because they are only 2 weeks apart i age so everyone is able to brood together and doing great.
3 week old photos yesterday. Im %100 sure he is a baby roo at this point. He gets bigger and bigger by the day. His little comb and wattles are very pink in color. And he already had the attitude to go with it.
I love meyer as well. However out of this batch of 5 sexed pullets one of the australorps is also a roo...
so not super good odds out of this batch.
my previous orders over the years from them have always been 100%. But not this time.
But oh well. Like i said i will keep him anyway.
If you have a similar breed to compare thats very useful. But a photo of a single chicks legs and feet are not helpful with nothing to compare.
