Chicken won’t go in hen house at night

The suggestion I have seen that works the most often is: Put your chickens in their coop and leave them in there for a couple of days to a week. This is absolutely dependent on the temps not being too high in there during the day and making sure they have adequate food and water. This gives them...

    Coccidiosis treatment advice please

Here is the chicken dosage for Corid that I found on BYC. The packaging (in the US of A at least) only has the dosage for cattle. Most of the feed and farm stores carry it here so hopefully that will also be the case where you are. Good luck with your chickies and please let us know how they are!

How to get 6 week chicks go into coup?

The thing I've read that most people find effective is to leave them in the coop for a few days and don't let them out! They will get comfortable in there and realize it is home. I put mine out at 5 weeks and struggled for a couple days getting them to go in at night. Then the weather shifted...

    5 chicks dying, help!?!!!

I'm sorry I'm not sure what else you could try. If you don't get any more helpful responses you may want to try posting in the Emergencies/Diseases forum using your main symptoms as the thread title. Sometimes folks get faster/more helpful responses in that thread as this one has more newbies...

    Ready for outside?

I moved my chicks out at 5 weeks, with a security camera. I had to put their brooder light out in the coop for a few days because, after we moved them out, the weather forecast changed from nice temps and a chance of rain to highs in the low 50s with pouring rain for 3 days straight. They're 10...

10 week olds in new coop

Everyone: There needs to be 4 sq ft/chicken in the coop Me: Worried that there's only 3.2 sq ft/ chicken in the new coop 10 week old chicks: We're just going to squish ourselves into this 3 sq ft area thanks! LOL! I know they'll grow into it, and the roosts, which they don't seem to know what...

Our just finished coop is at ground level. I wanted something I could walk into for cleaning and not have to craw underneath to get chickens out.

Wry neck(most probably) chick not eating

I see lots of posts in the Raising Baby Chicks thread for illness and injury. It's not a terrible thing unless they're not getting responses or don't get the help they really need. I had a chick with pasty butt/constipation issues so bad I was considering putting it down. Every time I google...
