I think the black one is for sure a rooster because I’ve now seen the hackles fluff up when he’s playing with the others. The Easter Egger (white and black) I’m still not sure.
I also have this 8 week old Easter Egger. Smaller than most but still suspecting a roo because of color pattern and likes to instigate fights with other chicks.
I believe this black and white chick is an Easter Egger cockerel because of how the tail points downward. He does not have a red comb but none of the eater Eggers hatched do. He’s 8 weeks old.
The gray one looks like a hen and came from and Easter Egger mix and looks more similar to an...
Similar story, maybe even worse, but I caught my chickens eating insulation in the coop, I covered it up but they ate a good amount. Now I just found them eating insulation under the siding of my house! Not sure how I can cover this as it’s literally under the siding and they are squeezing their...
Omg I know this is a very old post but I caught my chickens eating insulation in the coop, I covered it up but they ate a good amount. Then I found them eating insulation under the siding of my home! Not sure how I can cover this one. The chickens seem fine but they are only 9 weeks old and I...
She walks and runs normally, plays normally, holds her head straight, eats and drinks like the other chicks. It’s mostly the dry skin and the feet. The eyes might be normal but they just look more squinted to me than the others chicks.
I think the hens are black marans as well. I put it into Google image and that’s what it came up with.
I had four chicks hatched from these eggs. My friend has two of them, but she has one black one like I have and one that already has the black and white penciling. I wonder if that one’s a...
This is the rooster, looks like Barred rock. And these are the hens, doesn’t look like a Brahma. And this is the egg, dark brown colored. Any thoughts on the hen?
This is the second one I think the first pictures I uploaded are all of yeh same chick. It has fuzzy feet but the lady I got them from also has Barred rock chickens. Maybe it’s a Brahma x Barred Rock? It also came out of a pretty dark brown eggs and Brahmas lay tan/light brown. Now I don’t...
I’m feeding them chick starter and was putting electrolytes in their water the first couple of weeks. I haven’t put anything oil on her skin, no. Here are some more photos. You can see her toes kind of bend, not really curl under. Her eyes are oddly shaped, not round like the other chicks. And...
