We took Gimpy to Vet yesterday. She pulled most of the scab off, looked under a microscope and identified it as bacteria and fungus. She prescribed antibiotic pills and a fungicide solution.

The scabbing started higher up on his face above the beak and that area healed up after applying antibiotics. This gave me optimism that the antibiotic was working. Now it is down on the beak and progress has halted. I applied antifungal today and will watch a few days for any progress...
