    I once dated the daughter of a man who raised and fought chickens! He said he hated 'Muscovie's' because they could kill his gamecock roosters! He claimed, the duck would grab the roosters by the neck and NOT let go until the rooster stopped twitching!

    Thanks all for the prudent advice! I too believe that a hawk or falcon is way to fast to stop, if she is already swooping.

    There are some chickens who are happy to go one on one with an equal size hawk. Also do not underestimate the power of your intention. Next time you see the preditor, with a calm and serious voice, tell it about your BB gun. Good luck.

    A havaheart style trap baited with canned cat food will get 'em! and because the trap does not hurt the predator you can decide its fate in the clear light of morning! Thanks for not using a poison, it causes a horrible death!

    A havaheart style trap works great. Put half a can of cat food inside the trap and there is NOT a COON in America will be able to resist!!!
