Many kind caring people showed concern over the factory chicken, now named Annie, who escaped the egg laying factory when they were exterminating their “older”’hens. She made it a few days on her own in the extreme heat before I found her. I wasn’t able to take her in because I needed to leave for a week for work but I was able to find a kind person to take her in a few weeks ago. I just got off the phone with the person who took her in. Annie is still in a separate run next to his run with rest of his flock still in the introduction stage. She wasn’t laying and he wondered if her egg laying days were over. Until 3 days ago. She layed an egg, no shell. Next day a normal one and another normal egg today! Yay! He said she has some new feathers coming in and will send pics soon! I’ll post when I have them! The pic in this thread is from a few weeks ago when I had her.
